Any spare money over the £200k will be used to build a Skate café at the existing hut, which will sell soft and hot drinks, food, whilst also renting protection gear, with profits being used to upkeep the facility. The café will also provide CCTV protection to ensure the safety of users and the facility.

The Guernsey Skatepark will become a place of pride amongst Guernsey youth and (young at heart!) who want to capture the essence of individually, creativity and skill, that only skating can offer.

The Guernsey Skatepark @ Beau Sejour

After many years, Guernsey's skatepark is nearly here... we have £140k raised, but we need just over £200k before we can start the construction, and we need your help to make this happen.

This will be one of the largest concrete skateparks built in the British Isles for nearly 10 years and it will be the envy of every small Island, Jersey, South East England and put Guernsey on the Extreme Sports map, with plans for major national competitions in the years ahead. If you have kids, grandchildren or were a skater or BMXer in your past and want to support a social and sports facility with a life span of nearly 40 years, that provides a very positive, creative, alcohol and drug free pastime - we really need your assistance to get it over the line.

So far we are grateful for the support of our big donation sponsors;

Maxicorp, Alliance, Terra Firma, Longport, Fuller Group, and the many small donations, service providers (K3D and Indulge) and the small fund raising groups that have worked so hard to deliver the required money. We will not stop until we have achieved our aim of £200k, with several more exciting sponsorship events to happen, including a Guinness book of records attempt with Sky sports TV coverage.
